Some companies devote numerous personnel and resources to locating new, qualified government leads. Small businesses without such manpower are naturally at a competitive disadvantage. Businesses need not only be informed of bids and RFPs, but need to be informed on time to be equally competitive. To do this, BidPrime works closely with state and local entities to inform subscribers on the day of a new opportunity's issue. In addition, BidPrime uses custom in-house data mining software dedicated to gathering specifically government opportunities in real-time, giving BidPrime's subscribers the ability to have first access to newly-released opportunities -- a unique feature in the government purchasing industry. BidPrime graduated from its private beta after positive feedback from trial users, opening to the public at the end of August 2009. BidPrime moved into the final product phase in early 2010, and will continue to grow into other government-oriented ventures aimed at bringing Web 2.0 functionality and interactivity to obscure government information.
